Growing up with a family background in Physical Therapy, I had the privilege of being exposed to the field of physical therapy through various means such as conventions, conferences, medical tents at fun runs, and other related settings. I pursued my passion by volunteering with the PT program at the University of Washington (for over a decade), where I participated in various activities such as competencies, practical exams, group learning opportunities, among others. This experience exposed me to treating patients of different ages and solidified my interest in the field. I received my associates in Occupational Science at Pima Medical Institute in 2018 and a Bachelors in Psychology at Central Washington University. I am also Crossfit Level-1 certified and USAW weightlifting Level-1 certified.

At Lilly Physical Therapy, I am privileged to work under the guidance of experienced professionals, treating patients of varying ages and conditions. I continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth, and I have taken courses such as myofascial cupping, athletes and pelvic floor, endometriosis care, multifunctional movement courses and more to better serve my patients. I am especially passionate about treating sports injuries, olympic lifting athletes, and training individuals how to weight lift safely.

As a teenager, life was stressful. I was coping with the failing health of my father and gave up playing sports I loved to work an after school job. I needed an outlet to deal with my emotional struggles–it was around this time I discovered running and yoga. With no prior experience with either, I experimented a lot with movement, stretching, and feeling comfortable in my body. These outlets helped me get through truly difficult times, boosting my self confidence. I was able to process my emotions and stay physically fit. Running and yoga are still activities I turn to today to destress.

My passion for biomechanics and caring for others lead me to study and earn a bachelor’s degree Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Next, I went on to PTA school at South University in Cleveland, OH.

I eventually made my way west to Seattle, to be closer to the mountains and the ocean. When I found Lilly Physical Therapy, I knew it was the place for me. I met my new coworkers and knew these were the people who I wanted to spend time with. People who want to make a difference in the community and help others heal.

In my time working at Lilly PT, I have been given countless opportunities for growth, both personal and professional. Team members regularly attend continuing education courses to stay up to date with current findings and methods. My skill set grows stronger each day I am here. Our team meetings give each team member time to contribute, be valued, and have fun with team bonding activities. The Lilly PT culture is positive and fun, and has helped me develop deeper personal and professional values.
